“I recently broke up with my boyfriend of 3 years and badly needed a distraction. I wanted a casual hook-up but was scared to sign up for an online dating site. I was recommended Planet Romeo by my friend, who regularly uses the app to find flings. I signed up and was surprised by how active and authentic the members were! They also give out pieces of advice for safe-sex and dating. I love the community of Planet Romeo. I’ve already met with five different guys and truly had fun. When my 3-month subscription ends, I’ll surely get the 12-month!” - Jake, 28, Brooklyn

Is PlanetRomeo right for me?Who is signed up on PlanetRomeo in Hong Kong?
Since PlanetRomeo is an exclusive dating site for gay men, its member base is composed of gay, bisexual, and transgender men. Most members are looking for short-term dating and casual hookups. This is obvious from the fact that most members use NSFW profile pictures and upload x-rated photos in their QuickShare private albums.
Planet Romeo members also indicate on their profiles what exactly they’re looking for in the dating site, and a lot of them declare that they are looking for sex.
Even without a strict verification process, there are only a few fake profiles on PlanetRomeo. Such fake profiles can be easily determined as some tend to use celebrity photos as their profile pictures. However, members can increase their profile credibility when other members’ vouch that they know that particular member personally. This can be done by ticking such option on that specific member’s profile.
