"I love playing virtual games like this, so I thought Habbo would be a great way to find someone with the same interest as I have. It's a little difficult to achieve that, but it's not impossible because I found mine! It took me a few months, however. I just wish the site has better graphics; it looks so old-school!" - Rocky, 22

Is Habbo right for me?Who is signed up on Habbo in Hong Kong?
Exclusively on DatingScout: online member numbers for dating services are usually far off, so we estimate how many people are really on Habbo from traffic data and interest, updated monthly, with history.
Having an extensive database of members sound great. You will have the chance of engaging conversation with more members. However, there are a lot of minor members around, so you have to be cautious about that. To be safe, always treat members with the most respect. This is to avoid being reported, either by a minor, his/her guardian, or even a legal aged player.
Since playing in the desktop is more convenient, most members prefer using this version instead of the app. Either way, you can still access your account, even if you change a device, using the username and password that you used to register.
Male members dominate the site, given the fact that males are more into computer games compared to females. But if you will look at the digits, 500,000 female members is not a small number anymore.
You can share your QR code or referral code to your friends to play and get together on this virtual hotel game.

The Habbo app
★★★★★ 3.0/5
- Only 10% of the members prefer using the app version
- Has better resolution than the computer version
- Available for iOS and Android gadgets
Habbo has an app version for mobile phones for members who are always on-the-go. It may not be as convenient to use as the desktop version, but it's graphics are a little less pixelated. As mentioned, only a small percent of the total population of Habbo uses the app.
Download the app for free from the App Store or Google Play Store. In-app purchases can be made for credits.
You will not receive notification from the app when the app is closed on the phone. Since it's a virtual game, all actions and updates are done once you're account is online.
The app is on a landscape orientation, so you have to tilt your phone when using the app. The colours on the app are as vibrant as they are on desktop.
You can purchase items or credits directly using the app on your smartphone. Your network carrier may charge you on your plan, or credit it to your cards.
Other features for the two versions are the same.
Our field test
★★★★★ 3.5/5
Design & usability
Habbo website's graphic is remarkably pixelated. Which make it looks outdated compared to other HD virtual games. It also needs to run on flash when played on Google Chrome.
It has a slow loading time in both desktop and app versions, which can be caused by the size of the memory that it uses to operate.
Younger members will be having an easier time navigating the site since it's more of a virtual game. However, older members need not worry since Hotel Manager Frank gives a walkthrough on how to use the site.
